DMYF Scholarship Program
Each year the DMYF sponsors the
Dick Melloni Invitational Golf Tournament . This Tournament was started by Dick Melloni, Deputy Fire Chief, in 1987 to raise funds for scholarships for children of Firefighters and emergency services personnel through the Wareham Firemen’s Association Scholarship Fund. Since his passing, we have been privilaged to continue this great tradition. Each year two-to-four scholarships are awarded to local youths meeting strict academic and community service requirements.

Dick Melloni Memorial Christmas Toy Drivewas started in 1993 to provide toys to needy families in Wareham and its surrounding southeastern Massachusetts communities. Dick was a tireless fund-raiser for local and national charities supporting child health and education. Since his passing, we have tried to maintain his spirit of giving by establishing this toy drive in his name. Toys were delivered to families in need by uniformed members of the Wareham and Onset Fire Departments just in time for the Christmas holiday.
