In addition to the above programs, the DMYF also supports a number of community organizations and programs focused on providing for area youth. To date this community support effort has served a number of local organizations and facilities. Below are several of those of notable interest.
First, using funds from our fundraising events, we establihsed the CARBS (Children Always Ride Buckled Safely) program focused on promoting child seat safety and providing child seats to needy families.
We sponsor 25 youths each year to join the Gleason Family YMCA as part of the Southcoast YMCA's hardship program.
We support and provide for needs of the pediatric and maturnity wings at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA and for the emergency department at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, MA.
We provide financial support for the Wareham Boys and Girls Club and the Wareham Recreation Department.
We sponsor teams and youths of the Wareham Junior Basketball Association (JBA), Wareham Association to Continue Hockey, Wareham Youth Soccor, Wareham Tiger Football, and the Wareham Little League.
And, we provide instruments for the Wareham Middle School After School Music Program.
